Couch potatoes gonna couch potate

[SPOILER ALERT]: This post might contain spoilers. You have been warned.

I have just begun with One Punch Man, and it has been a crazy ride so far. Saitama is this extraordinarily powerful guy who can defeat his enemies in one punch. Since I was unaware of the show's premise when I started watching it (even though the title makes it abundantly clear), the peculiar humor in the show took me by surprise. I am pacing myself as just 12 episodes have been released till now.

rick-and-morty-3Another show I'm currently following is Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon's Rick and Morty. I was introduced to it through Harmontown, which is Dan Harmon's original podcast. Welcome to the genre of cosmic horror, i.e. "the terror of that which is out of our grasp to comprehend". This show is out of this world. Literally. Rick Sanchez is a genius scientist who has figured out interdimensional travel and keeps traveling to various dimensions with his grandson Morty. Each episode is thought provoking, and one can dig deep into it to exploit the spectrum of possibilities it showcases, or even the philosophies. The episode where Rick meets Unity is an example of how diverse an episode can get within itself. This one has got relationships, mind control, alien love triangles, alien racism, a brilliant soundtrack, a well placed 'Community' reference, extravagant partying, and much more. My personal favorite is M. Night Shaym-Aliens!, it's like inception in a TV show.

Other TV shows that I have enjoyed (in no particular order) :

  1. Awesome. May I suggest Death Note? I recently watched Death Note and believe me when I say, there’s no better thriller out there.
